Thanks for the reminder. Overload at work and on the home front we are just beginning to put half the basement back together following water seepage (10 days after two solid days of rain, all the berber carpeting ripped out and thrown - by ServiceMaster).

Hey, there, Robert, how 'bout a picture of yourself??? Or at least an avatar. Sure, the doggie pic is cute, but I know you can come up with SOMETHING.

Kibwezi (Kenya) partnership

A small leadership group from our local PC(USA) church has airline tickets to leave late July 2 for three week leadership work camp in Kibwezi, Kenya. This is a continuation of our twenty-year partnership from first work camp in summer of 1988, a few days after the death of my father on July 11, 1988.
The group of eight spent sixteen hours or more on July 22, 2008, flying Virgin Atlantic back from Nairobi (to Heathrow and from there) to Dulles Airport close to Washington, D.C. We left six "green machines" (OLPC XO systems) with the three or four teachers (primary school) we trained during the two weeks "on the ground" (living in tents) in Kibwezi, Kenya. This was my seventh trip and it had been nine years since my most recent month-long work camp in July, 1999.
