Hi Mary,
Welcome -- hope to meet you some time at a Presbytery meeting, or wherever. Where do you attend church..... maybe there.

Yep, I've seen the train station Sound of Music. Love it! I wish spontaneous dancing would spread like a virus. (Yes, I know these incidents aren't really spontaneous, but they're still wonderful.)
I love the stall sitting description. You're the "doula" for the mare, and Godmother to the foal!
Gonna invite Jerrith to this thread. She's very much a horse person.

Oh, my gosh! Welcome, welcome!!! Comlumbine Quilt, already posted in the Photos here - titled "Starr & Terri," since we're holding it together.

Profile Information

Introducing Myself:
I am an "old" NFNFr, or a member of the original "Neither Fish Nor Fowl" email group where I first met Starr. I am now retired, and my husband Dan has recently finished serving as longterm interim Pastor in Colorado and Nebraska. We really aren't in the midst of ministry right now, but I'd love to be a source of support for someone else.
My Joys:
We have horses! Although I have never ridden, we bought rural property which had a stable. When we went out to buy 1 horse , we ended up with 2 bred registered Morgan mares, raised 6 foals, traded some.
Of course you know our family is a joy. Our daughter & family are here
so it's great to be with her.
My Frustrations:
When you have been "in the shadow of the spire" for over 50 years, there are endless frustrations that have been real. Now, it nice to be away from those. The main frustration is that our bodies get older much faster than our minds. But it is still "the day that the Lord hast made."

COLUMBINE QUILT

Starr,
It's been a long time since we've "talked", and I have been thinking about you today as the news about the anniversary of the Columbine tragedy has been on the news. I tried to find a picture of the quilt that was done by the "Neither Fish Nor Fowl" clergy spouse group that year, but I couldn't find it. Post a picture of it, if you can, for this group to see.

I have a story to share with you all. It's about the best $100 I have every spent. John Mkenda lives on the slopes of Mt. Kilamanj… Continue
