Introducing Myself:
I am a retired IT Architect (still working part time) married to Jill who is a retired Anglican Priest in the Diocese of Pretoria in the Province of Southern Africa. I have a degree in mathematics and, more lately, in theology (Church History). We have four children - all boys - three of whom are married and four grand children.
Jill and I recently moved to a retirement village called Kokanje near the town of Modimolle ('God has cried') which used to be known as Nylstroom about 100 km north of Pretoria.
Perhaps I have already died and gone to heaven? We are woken up in the morning by raucous birds shouting outside our window; we try our best but can't hear any traffic; we have mongooses, hares, squirrels in our garden ...
My Joys:
The world of God's creation: we spend as much time as we can in the bush and enjoy birds, mammals, trees and everything else in nature. When housebound, I love to read, listen to good music (both classic and jazz), play with my computer, write, cook (especially Indian food), paint, model ...
My Frustrations:
When you are retired there is no time to have too many frustrations, but as I get older I find myself having less tolerance for church politics.
