Rules for getting along

Since such things are necessary while living in this world, here are guidelines and rules for participation in the Sidekicks Clergy Spouse Network.

First, this website is a safe place. We welcome everyone to our main page, but in order to provide hospitality for everyone, we reserve the right to delete any comments that we see as inappropriate. We do monitor membership to protect privacy, ensure security, and to prevent spamming.

1. Threatening, degrading, sexist or racist remarks are absolutely banned. Let our discourse be guided by kindness and common courtesy. Anger, frustration and other strong emotions can be expressed without attacking others. Ephesians 4:26: “Be angry but sin not.”
2. Keep the language somewhere around PG13. We don’t need to be prissy here – it’s a place to vent, after all – but we don’t need to channel Eddie Murphy, either. Use those handy symbols above the numbers on your keyboard to express your @#$%! frustrations.
3. No SPAM on this site. This is not the place to hock your wares or build your client base. If you have something relevant to the conversation, that’s fine, but you should find friends here, not customers. Badges to other social websites are fine, but no advertising, please. If you cannot distinguish the difference, ask. We'll let you know.
4. No spying on other members. Anonymity to guard one’s own privacy is fine, but any hint of snooping around for information to use against someone else, or to report to other parties, will result in a swift boot.
5. No proselytizing. It’s wonderful to celebrate and rejoice in your faith, and we encourage respectful theological discussions. But any suggestion that someone else needs conversion will result first in a swift warning, and then, if necessary, an escort to the door.

And now our disclaimer: The opinions and views here are those of the individuals posting those opinions and views, and in no way reflect the policies of the PCUSA or Grand Canyon Presbytery.
